Grande has been awarded numerous accolades over her career. This includes two Grammy Awards. One Brit Award. Two Billboard Music Awards. Three American Music Awards. Nine MTV Video Music Awards. Thirty Guinness World Records.
The musical career of Grande began at the age of 15 with the Broadway musical "13". She gained fame portraying Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon television series Victorious (2010-2013) and Sam & Cat (2013-2014). After watching YouTube videos of Grande covering songs, Republic Records signed Grande in 2011. The 1950s-influenced doo-wop pop and R&B debut album, Yours Truly (2013) was a top seller on the US Billboard 200, while the album's lead single, "The Way", reached the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100. The album was instantly compared to Mariah Carey's duet voice as well as whistle register.
In her third and second studio albums, My Everything (2014), and Dangerous Woman (2016), she continued exploring pop as well as R&B. My Everything tried EDM, and became a huge hit with the singles "Problem", Break Free and "Bang Bang" and Dangerous Woman was her first of four consecutive top ten albums released in the UK. Sweetener (2018), as well as Thank U, Next (2019) was her fourth and fifth studio albums, respectively, which featured trap music. Both albums were both critically and commercially appreciated. Sweetener earned her the Grammy Award as Best Pop Vocal Album. Thank U Next was nominated to be the album of the year and set the record in streaming for the biggest pop album. Grande became the first solo artist to reach the top three spots of the Hot 100 and become the first woman to achieve the number one spot on the UK Singles Chart with the singles "Thank U. Next", "7 Rings" and "Break up with Your Girlfriend. Her 2020 collaborations "Stuck with U" with Justin Bieber and "Rain on Me" together with Lady Gaga helped her break records for the most number-one songs to debut on the Hot 100, the latter earning her the Grammy Award for Best Pop duo or group performance. Grande added trap to her sixth studio album Positions (2020) in which both the album's title track as well as the album's debut hit number 1 in the UK. In 2021, she collaborated with The Weeknd on the remix of "Save Your Tears", making her the sixth US number-one single.
