Anita Ekberg
Anita Ekberg is a Swedish actress from Sweden. She appeared in various movies, including European and American. The most well-known role she played was in the comedy drama "La Dolce Vita". The film was both a critical and commercial success, as well being awarded an Oscar at the Cannes Film Festival 1960. Born in Skane, Sweden, she was a model prior to her acting career. Eventually, she won the Miss Sweden Contest. When she moved to the US she started acting in various films, acting in minor roles. She played the Venusian Guard in 'Abbott & Costello's Trip to Mars. It was her debut credit part. The film was later awarded the Golden Globe award in the "Most Promising Newcomer," category following her appearance in the film 'Bloodalley'. Her appearances in other films over the course of her career. The most notable of these is the American-Italian War drama "War and Peace', The Western movie "Valerie" and the British Adventure Crime film "The Man Inside,' and the French and Italian dramatic The Dam on the Yellow River. In the year 2015, she passed away at the age of 83.
