Lucy Liu (born Lucy Liu) is an American actor, voice actress, director producer and vocalist. Beautiful, intelligent and skilled actress, she's a great inspiration to Asian actors aspiring to make it big in Hollywood. An early string of success roles in a popular TV show made her well-known for her part in the character in Ally McBeal, where she was Ling Woo. The actress took her initial popularity into big screen roles in movies such as Shanghai Noon and Charlie's Angels. The film Kill Bill Volume 1, Quentin Tarantino, she gave an outstanding performance as Japanese criminal O-Ren Ishii. In the meanwhile, she was also in the lead role in a few films that failed at the box office, such as Rise: Blood Hunter. She then began to voice the characters of animated films like Kung Fu Panda or Tinker Bell. Mia Mason's role on the small screen as a character in Cashmere Mafia did not produce the desired results. Southland, the critically-acclaimed drama police drama that Liu starred in on a regular basis played a part that allowed her to be a an internationally acclaimed as an actress. Liu chooses her roles with care to avoid becoming typecast in this competitive industry. Although she is extremely proud of her culture however, she is not letting that limit her creativity.
